Carbon Fiber side bumper vent.

What do you guys think.......????? You can voices your opinions but I don't really care because I ordered and it shipped. Like people said, "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder". I know it will need to be sand down to make it fit flush. Btw, don't ever ask me again for the link.............

I think so too because of all the carbons fiber on my car already. My only concern is, the part might be way too tall that it does not match the curve line of my foglight cover. Will see.

Since there's no ridge/bump on our bumper, it need to sand down flat, it should fit flush with no problem. We will see.

They aren't going to work there pal. I did a little pre-order research and had the seller trace a vent onto a sheet of paper and email it to me in PDF (as to maintain the proper dimensions). They are way too tall for our style front end...

I thought about that like I said in post #4 and it my only concern. There are many version out there (big and small) and this version look like it the smallest one i've seen. I hope your measurement were based on the other versions.

I hope you cut holes so they would actually be "vents" and not like the picture

No way I cut the bumper but I will black it out so you don't see the bumper color.

The CF vent covers are just that, 'covers'. They go over top of the existing vent on the C63 bumper so they should all be the same height, if not, then they would not fit properly. The covers you ordered are very large, tall and wide, even if you cut a good portion of the mid section out they still look odd. The CF vents on the CLK Black are a fraction of the size of these.

I'm having a few things covered in CF here this summer, the same guy is making me a proper set of CF vents, not just cosmetic covers, they will be based on the CLK Black style but not as aggressive. I'll thread it when they are done.

Edit - Dimensions (approximate) for the C63 CF vent covers;

Top width 165mm
Bottom width 180mm
Front side height 240mm
Back side height 235mm

I sent the trace to another member, if more want it I'll post it up for all but the dimensions should be enough.

The middle/vented part section should all be the same because it has to be able to slide into the factory vent to fit properly. But the outer part can be in many sizes depend on the design. If I need to cut/sand down, it would be only around the outer edge of the part to reduce the size over all. The one i ordered seem to be the smallest size in term of over all dimension. Just look at the pics.

The one you ordered is the exact same one that I have the dimensions from, that big ugly chunky one is new to me, haven't seen that one before.

Anyways, good luck, let us all know how it works.

I hope these vents will fit Klinh, they will look really nice with you headlight eyelashes but you might need to carbon fiber wrap the eyelashes so they will match
