Bilstein PSS9 - finall

I got these used from another mbworld.org member and a few parts were missing. Bilstain had them on back order for ever and just got them beginning of this year. Finally found some time and a shop to install them.
I checked several places. Got quoted $1200, 700, 600, 500 and 400. I chose the shop that quoted $500 as they seemed honest and had experience with European cars.
Here are a couple pics I took before the install

The car looks great, I did not go too aggressive, do not like too tucked in look. I need to take after pics. As it is set now, there should be no rub issues, I hope. Also did not feel like I needed alignment at all. The rear camber also looks same as it was before. Did not measure but its not a change I can see. I only dropped 1/2 inch in the rear and then matched the front. Originally the space from the fender edge to the rim top was front: 4 5/8 in rear: 3.5 in
The ride quality on the other hand, well lets say its not a Mercedes any more
The mechanic that adjusted them was not in the shop when I picked up the car and the owner was not sure what stiffness settings they set. I hope its on the hardest so I can adjust it softer
The car also feels faster
I took some quick turns and it was sticking very nicely, no roll etc. very cool.

Yeah, I also need a 3mm spacer too when I installed the KW coilover 2. As for the wheel cap, it really not the spacer but more of so the way your wheel "center" design. Your wheel center does look alot deeper in from the pics. I never ever have any problem with the wheel cap when running spacer on all mine Mercedes. As for adjustment on the coilover, turn the adjustment knob all the way to the left until it stop. Now, turn it slowly all the way to the right and count how many round/circle until it stop. This way, you will be able to find the middle/mid-way of the adjustment. Adjust all your struts/shock to the mid-way adjustment. Drive it around a couple days then make adjustment from there. Usually, turn back/counter clock wise for softer and forward/clock wise for harder.

Do you have any closeup pics of your rear? specifically by the fender? did you have to roll you rear fender any?

The lip is way too tall at 33mm, I need it at the most to be maybe 25mm to not interfere with the center cap.
I googled this model number and I found one that had this pic, not sure if that the actual pic and if they changed the design.

The 1st pic is the front spacer and it should only be use in the front. The 2nd pic is the rear spacer with lip only about 5-10mm long.

Ok now I feel stupid, I had no idea that there was a deference. The lip on the fronts is so large that I would guess even 10mm spacers would not really need extra lib. My rears have a very small lip so I assumed that big 33mm lip was for that. Oh well, live and learn. So now I need to get a proper rear spacer. I think I will go with 10mm. From what I remember you should get about 6 turns for the bolts to stay safe? I have a bunch of bolts so hopefully a set will work with out being too short or hitting the e-break.
Thanks guys for all the info, this forum rocks!

, I don't know how I missed that.
