With the extreme heat this summer, my OEM spoiler is starting to pull away from the trunk (about six inches worth starting at the right edge). I am assuming it would be best to pull the whole thing off, clean it all up and then run new tape across the whole bottom of the spoiler? Find this tape at any auto parts store? I know this is probably simple but dont want to end up losing the thing on the highway and wind up on Eddieo45's "dumbest thing you've done" thread.

The 3M tape I used was super thin for a perfect BS fitment.
The 3M prep solution is a must for good adhesion.

Make sure the surface is clean before putting on the spoiler. My roof spoiler flew off my car on the freeway going around 70 because of that reason (I used 3m also). On my trunk spoiler I made sure it was very clean and try and its been holding on strong for a good 7 months now with no issues, Also 3m
