front bumper screw holes

After removing the front plate bracket, I noticed 4 small screw holes on the front bumper.

Is there any other way to plus up the screw holes on the front bumper besides buying from bumperplugs.com or having to create my own plugs from ace/home depot?

I asked a bodyshop and they quoted $500 to fill those holes and repaint bumper. My bumper is only 2 years new, not a scratch, seems like a waste to repaint.

Anyone have any better suggestions or ideas?

Since you are in SF, you should contact Anthony's in San Rafael. I cannot recommend them highly enough - great people, amazing quality work. My CLK has been in there 3 times, and my BMW sedan twice...great work every time. They do the work for RAB Motors and Ferrari of SF (Mill Valley). Hope that helps.

$500 is a pretty standard price for a front bumper respray. I dont like the way bumperplugs look. Those are really your only options though.

Like AMGY says, $500 is pretty standard. You could probably get it cheaper if you know someone that could do the job.

Bumper plugs or a euro plate are you cheapest options. I had the bumper plugs until I got a new bumper... they matched very well and were not too bad.... way better than holes in your bumper that's for sure

I been thinking of removing the front bumper, superglue a plastic backing on the inside of the bumper, fill the exterior holes with silicone so its flushed with the rest of bumper, and using OEM touch up paint to paint the clear silicone. Do you think this would be feasible before I start?

Just in case the silicone is not perfectly flushed, what type of sandpaper do you recommend me using so not to scratch the paint on the bumper?

I think this will be a much cheaper option than paying $500 for a new paint job. I think it will also look better than bumper plugs.

Might be cheaper, but is it really worth it. I can't imagine the paint on the silicone will look anything like the paint on the bumper.

Thanks for the feedback Dyno. I guess I will just have to pay the $500 to get those screw holes professionally filled and painted. I'm going to wait till I get the xenons first, get it all done at once since they need to remove front bumper to fill/paint.
