How to add Bluetooth?

Have 2007 CLK E350 Cab and want to add Bluetooth. Not interested in Iphone or $2000 MB conversion. Not prewired. Not interested in any type of earpiece. It's for my wife who just wants the convenience of Bluetooth.

That cartronic link has some cool stuff but they are on CRACK if they think people will spend that kind of money for those products - Hong Kong / China have everything they have for a 3rd of their prices.

There is no Mercedes Benz certified Bluetooth MOST fiber optic integrated product made in China or Hong Kong. If there is, please send me the link. All of our items are made to exacting specifications that Mercedes Benz dealerships and owners expect. We enjoy a failure rate of only .02% (2 tenths of 1 percent). So there are no "cheap" ways to achieve that level of quality.

I've purchased and installed the Itronic system a couple years ago and haven't had any problems with it. Works just like the integrated system.

That is a good question!

The Viseeo MB2 is for cars that already have the UHI system installed in the car from the factory. Those cars will have a connection point as shown on our website in the armrest. Generally for post 2007 (although some as early as 2005 have it). The factory UHI is typically a $1800 line item on the window sticker. Don't confuse this with telephone "pre-wire", which really means nothing and is fluff to put on the sticker.

The Argos is an entire phone system for D2B fiber optic cars. The various classes switched from D2B (which came out in 1999 for some classes) to M.O.S.T. fiber optics in the mid 2000's (what year depends on what class). So the Argos is for cars that have the D2B fiber optics and are mostly pre-2004 cars (although some classes went clear till 2005, again see our website for details).

The iTronic BT (there are several products in the iTronic range, BT is for Bluetooth) is for all cars that have M.O.S.T. fiber optics, but without UHI. Or for clients that want a better phone system or more features than the factory UHI.

Our site is database driven. So if you select Mercedes, then your class and year range, it will only show you products appropriate for your car. That takes the guesswork out of all the shifts in class and year conversion.

Thanks for the info. I did that and it looks like the Argos is my way to go. How do you know exactly - can you decode the VIN or something? Also, what is the installation process and typical cost? I'd assume since I am out of your area, I would need a qualified local installer. I am NOT an electronics genius, so I don't wanna blow anything up! we could get some useful info going and make a sticky out of this thread too!

It is done by year and class combination. We know all that information as we are Mercedes engineers. Therefore we built the website accordingly. Nearly everyone installs the Argos themselves, as it just plugs in. However, we can also refer you to a shop to do it for you.

That system seems awesome, it will be my first mod after my lease ends. Do you have a discount for this forum users?

I guess it depends on where you live and what you need. for me it is perfect for my short trips around the city, being handsfree and listening to pandora. No one has ever complained about call clarity. for music' it is good but not great. if I really wanted to listen to music on a long trip I would plug the iPhone into my AUX.But for the money... it is the best option I’ve seen.
