New Member Intro With Many Pictures
What's up guys? I just picked up a 2007 CLK550 cabriolet with right above 50,000 miles. I am very happy to have found an active community of owners and have already utilized this forum to answer many questions throughout the buying process.
I was initially looking for a coupe, but at the last minute I decided on the vert. Let me tell you, I am very happy with my decision. I am not the type of guy to ride around during the day with the top down as I would sweat like a wild pig and I don't really like all the attention this car draws. However, at night, there is nothing quite like cruising around with the top down, radio off, relishing the growl of the AMG exhaust.
This car is truly a beast. I haven't been able to wipe the smile off my face yet! Honestly, I don't know why I am posting here when I could be out driving! Anyway, here are a few pictures of the CLK along with a few of my 750i. It's very nice to meet you guys. My name is David and I live in Lexington, KY.

Thanks kbahl, your coupe is beautiful! Right now I am just trying to keep my knee from hitting the memory seat button and turning the cruise control on every time I turn left

I know what you mean, that wheel gap is crazy. Other than side markers and 20% tint, H&R springs are about the only thing on my to do list. I may get some bigger wheels, but right now I am enjoying not having to dodge potholes. Just wish the stock wheels were about an inch wider.

Welcome, looks just like mine except I have the coupe. On your profile, you listed CLK 550 AMG, I hope you do know the 550 is not an AMG.

Just wish I had the wheels off the 08.
Thank you. Your wheels are some of my favorite I have seen while browsing this forum the past few weeks.

Thank you, your car looks great!
For now all I plan on doing is tint and clear or color matched reflectors. I like to let the new car magic wear off before doing any serious mods. Maybe next summer I will find a nice set of wheels and springs.

Now that is a nice stance! I love your gloss black roof and front lip.
I have always admired white Mercedes.
I honestly can't believe that xenon's aren't standard on a car at this price point! How much are you guys paying to upgrade the headlights?

Xenons are around 1K i believe.... Yeah i also thought it is weird that the many CLK550s didnt have Xenons luckily my 350 came with them, i wasnt really paying attention when I bought the car tho just lucked out haha.

Nice ride! A white vert is very classy.
Im always suprised at people posting about the growl of the stock exhaust. My CLK55 was super quiet stock.
No xenons for me either, yet every C class I see on the road has them lol

Thanks!
My exhaust sounds glorious! Even at idle it hums the sweet tune of AMG perfection.

I don't think you will ever regret buying a convertible. Especially living in KY where you can put the top down 8 months out of the year. Great looking car.
