if its a stock e55 then the race will be worth doing. BadBlackCLK beats a stock CLK by about 2 or 3 cars. So depending on how much i lose by it will give u a good idea as to how fast his car actually is.

We'll see how you do against CH et al, I've wasted enough time debating on this. 7+ mph difference in trap is a 7+ mph difference in trap. If he's stuck NOS on there since then, well, wow, what do you know, a heavily modded car can beat cars faster than it stock? Gee, never knew that, thanks for clearing it up. Oh, wait, I did....

Well, it's nice to see he's still got friends here. Shows what a powerful thing rationalization is. 
If he'd ever actually shown up and raced some of these cars he claimed to be able to beat driven by people who actually know what they're doing, we would have lots of other "videos don't lie" posts to make, but in every case (multiple cases), he buggered off and didn't show.

I've read all 5 pages and I have only one thing to say, E55 is faster end of story!!
Doesn't matter if Bblack has a ecu tune and a ams pulley. Ecu tune would give him what 15HP at the crank?? and 5-10HP with the pulley?? still not E55 numbers.
The CLK 550 might be fast but not faster than E55....

Which is a violation of the TOU, btw. But putting that aside, the fact that you seem to hold in such high regard an individual who has been banned from, and caught lying in, this forum on innumerable occasions tells me everyihing I need to know about you.
Right. So a VW bus could conceiveably beat you in a 1/4 mile race? Don't quote the power, weight, or aerodynamic numbers for a VW bus, as they are just numbers and don't mean anything in the real world.
I PM'd a few guys, CH is one of them and the other has indicated he's down for running previously, so we'll see how it goes. I'm 1500 miles away or I'd be there in a heartbeat, but if anyone in DFW with a CLK550 with the same mods wants to do a few runs, I'm down.
As to your experiences: manual or manually shifted (DSG, etc) cars, particularly when equipped with low-torque peaky motors, are easy money in an automatic of similar power/weight, as very few drivers have the skill/reaction time/shifting abilities to extract the optimal times from their vehicles. There is a reason why bracket racers prefer automatics: it's damn tough to beat them for 99% of drivers out there.
But we're talking auto vs. auto here, big difference. So long as the driver in question actually manages to select the correct gear and has a properly running car, the outcome is preordained with that large of a difference in trap speed.
youre not even arguing with me. I agreed with you that the e55 should have won. But there are certain factors to take into consideration, his car is not stock so i cannot speak on his behalf. An e55amg will beat me i am sure of it but by how much i do not know. On paper i should lose to an m3, but in real life i do not DCT or Manual, i still win. Weather conditions can change causing cars to act differently in different situations. Numbers dont mean anything in the real world.

Update, thanks to another good catch from Deuuuce; OP claimed that both vehicles started out at 30 mph in third gear. A shout-out to Deuuuce, who noticed while watching the video that:
Another good catch. First race started at 0:42 and CLK clearly shifted roughly 2.5 seconds later, at 0:46.5-ish. Same for second race, starts at 1:47 and CLK shifts at 1:49.5-ish.
CLK550s redline in 3rd at around 90 mph. Here's C&D test data for an E55, indicates about 93 mph max speed with 6500 rpm redline and 14.3 mph/1000 as indicated in test data:

Lol, it all comes down to the driver for everything. In my daily driver my c300 keeps up with 2008 g37 (with 5-speed auto). A buddy of mine would manually shift it and put in regular gas. My c300 would be neck and neck until about 100 and he starts to pull away a bit. Keep in mind mine is 225hp with 4matic, g37 (my past car) is 330hp and rwd...
5-speed auto's SUCK. My dad's SL500 can feel slow as hell even on WOT depending on the gear it chooses. Sport engaged or not...

Having said that, given that the second car in your example is an auto, your story sounds pretty hard to swallow unless your friend is putting 80 octane gasoline in his car or manually putting it about one gear above where it needs to be in each and every race.
Anyone with a brain knows that a car with about a 50% horsepower increase (100%*(330/225) = 146%) over another and without the added parasitics of AWD will totally destroy the lower horsepower car, unless the driver of the higher-horsepower car is a) dumb enough to select the wrong gear every time you run, and b) to keep repeating this same mistake ad infinitum; but hey, maybe he just likes to lose, some people are funny that way....

I don't get the M3 guys even. Not saying it didn't happen. Maybe they were 6-speeds? The E9X M3 with DCT has better in-gear acceleration than a C63!
