CLK55 rear bumper cutout

I have a CLK500 and was trying to add quads
Instead of getting the bumper I have right now cut I'd rather get one with the cut outs so it can look as factory as possible
Does anyone know if it would be hard or easy to remove the one I have right now to install the new one?

Thanks

Cheaper to buy a CF diffuser for your quad exhaust.

the 500 and 550 have the same rear bumper
and you can always cut your bumper on the right side... and it should look clean unless the person cutting it made an awful job

It your money and you can waste it any way you want. In my opinion, I think it just stupid to spend at least $1K part, paint and labors on a mod that cost around $50 to do and look 99.9% as oem quad bumper. If you cut the bumper and buy the oem quad black out bumper cover, it almost impossible to see the cut out because the black out cover pretty much cover up the cutout part.

That was the 1st option and the one I was going to do before being quoted 300 from a body shop just to cut it
I'm sure other shops can do it for less I just have to look around
I also noticed the tip isnt really as far to the left as I'd like to be. Its not like the 06 500s or the 550s

I already have the tips and muffler just cant decide if I should look for a shop to cut the bumper or pull the trigger on the diffuser

The second part of what you said was exactly what I was talking about sorry if I wasn't clear about it but thats the clk55 part I was trying to purchase

I should have said it in the first post instead of putting "bumper" but I was referring to the black plastic with the quads already cut out

Ordering these part can be very tricky. The only way to order the right part is find a 2005 Clk55 with OEM factory quad exhaust. Just do a search on Ebay for only year 2005 Clk55 and use that ar VIN# to place your order.

Only $170 for a new 05 AMG 55 rear bumper? That doesn't sound right.

I think that's the black trim he's talking about.

Where would I get that bumper cover at? I can't seem to find one. Only CF diffusers
