I am kicking around the idea of getting 19" P40 in brushed finish this time, but I'd have to sell my 20". The 20" does have the wow factor though!

I had thought of that, but I wasn't sure if that would look unbalanced. My NSX has that staggered fitment and so do some other low slung cars like the Corvette and some exotics. Usually you see that when the diameter from front to rear is different and you need to visually balance the tire sidewall height. Are there pics of any CLK's out there that have done that? I'm curious to see how it looks bc I have seen a set of wheels I really like in those sizes.

Well I took off my P40 because I want to get them refinished, so I threw on my 18" SL55 wheels with 1" spacer in the rear. I'm gonna see about getting my 10mm spacers bored out for the front too, they didn't fit because the hub in the front is like 25mm long so they wouldn't slide on. These wheels look right at home on the CLK IMO because they match it's rounded shapes, and it looks like a sleeper CLK now as not many people will recognize the wheels from an SL55. I don't think these wheels will fit a stock body CLK due to the lower offsets (they didn't even fit the CL500 in the rear).

I love the twin spoke in both your signatures! I wish I could get a single piece wheel exactly like that but in 19"... the SL65/CLS65 wheels have one that's similar but it's 2 piece. I am thinking about those but they are expensive and you can get a lot of other wheels for even the used the price so why buy something that makes my car look more plain (OEM). I also saw these VIP Modular VR08 that I really like...

Ok here's a little more... Hyper silver base coat with CNC machined face and clearcoat. Very happy with the results as I have always wanted this finish on these wheels. Need to clean the car up and grab some pics.

My '06 is doing that. I stepped out and saw the bulb was out and thought "hooray, it's just a normal burnt out light bulb and not some crazy computer gremlin!" then I punched the case and the parking light came right back on...

Also, do you know if the AMG CLK's from 2006 had more flared fenders than non AMGs, meaning one could but an AMG bumper on a 350 and not have to roll the fenders out?

Not sure what the problem is or if it's a bad connection like yours. I don't know if the AMG CLK had more flared fenders but I doubt it. I can't confirm but I would bet an AMG bumper would line up just fine as I think many others on the forum have gotten a 63 front bumper on their CLKs. Also, rolling fenders and pulling fenders are two different tasks.

Well whatever the difference between rolling and pulling, both are more than I'd be willing to have done for a different bumper. That is good news. I also like the rumors I've heard that MY05 and up AMG brake calipers bolt right up to the spindle.

Loving the new brake pads (Disc Italia hyper ceramic). Now my wheels are only this dirty after weeks of driving, it is amazing how much better the car always looks.

Not much left to do, but I do want to either get HID or LED fog lights, maybe a sub/amp or head unit at some point. The one thing that sucks is it doesn't have bluetooth integration or even mp3 capability.

Future plans may include a conversion to 6 speed manual as one member was discussing with me, and maybe eventually a custom turbocharger perhaps but both of those make it more of a hassle to drive so they would require I get another daily driver most likely. Having it be manual would completely change the experience and truly make it the most unique CLK in the world I think. And it would be fast as hell with a turbo… does anyone know what power levels the stock internals will handle safely?
