Hello !! I just purchase my w209..Use to have a w208!!
I just got my new CLK 500 and love it !! I use to have a w208 CLK430 that I sold last week and missed it so much I had to get the upgraded one with the same exterior and interior color !!

Thank you guys,.. I just want to get one thing clear I am a big time AMG poser then ..lol. It doesn't bother me having AMG badge especially when it goes great with my AMG wheels !! Plus what counts is that I like it !!

This coming from a guy who hacked on a very senior and respected 209 member because of his mods including replica AMG wheels...

I am always reminded of something I read once about fake AMG badges...
The only people who would recognize/respect what AMG means in the first place are the exact same group who would know that its fake.

Imagine, if someone with a Camaro or Charger wants to race your Benz. He will laugh at the reputation of AMG after realizing your car isn't that fast. He is still ignorant to even not realize that CLK500 isn't AMG. That what irks the true AMG fans for that kind of reputation.
I am still against your opinion about the AMG badge, but I understand it's your choice. I have no problem with you, but I just want to let you knw that.

First of all please do you think I am ignorant like the Camaro /charger dude you made up or yourself I know for sure that our Mercedes Benz product is 100 times better product build than a gm or dodge garbage product anytime brother,plus I think my CLK will do pretty good in a race with over 300hp stock ! Again you guys need to get over this ! Every one has a right to do what ever customize there own cars @ the end of the day my ride is a CLK 500 which is a lot closer to a CLK 55 spec than a CLK 350 ,I am not saying anything bad about v6 model but c'Mon man its my car !

CURB WEIGHT: 3,585 lbs
0-60MPH: 5.7 seconds
MODEL: Mercedes-Benz CLK55 Coupe
ENGINE: 5.5-liter V8
HORSEPOWER/TORQUE: 362 hp @ 5,750 rpm/376 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm
CURB WEIGHT: 3,571.5 lbs
0-60MPH: 5.1 seconds
The different with the CLK55 is that it has more 60 hp and 37 lb-ft and a bit lighter. However, it goes 0.6 second different in the acceleration. That's a lot different, because 0.6 seconds is probably like 3-4 cars ahead.
I wouldn't say it's very similar. Let's not forget about CLK63, which is also AMG. The different is that the CLK AMG can catch up to those "0-60MPH in 5 seconds" cars, but CLK500 can't do that.
That is we are only talking about the acceleration, but let's not forget about the race track and top speed that would make a big different between AMG and non AMG.
Anyway, like what I said - the car is your and I don't have a problem with you. I still think you're a very happy dude with this CLK500. It indeed looks very beautiful. I still wish it's a true AMG inside, but I know it's not.
