day i got my first mercedes (01 ml320), car was keyed from gas cap to headlight, cost $2 grand to get fixed. day i got my second mercedes (07 clk550), massive door ding with paint chip (probably about 6 inches long), cost $600 to get fixed. Since then had a few more door dings even tho i park at the back of all parking lots alone, and had someone who i think was my old roommate walk on my car and several other small acts of vandalism including rear emblem stolen and had someone take the air cap thing off my tire and empty all the air.

I live in arbour lake in the NW but as you may know, it is impossible to have a car in calgary without getting door dings. I used to have to park in a separate parking lot from my work and there my car used to get vandalized almost weekly until I begged a girl from my work to switch spots with me. Canadians are cool but there are 50,000 Americans living in calgary that do damage our cars. My old roommate was from chicago.

Hi, I am Paul Schmidt. I bought my 2005 CLK500 Black on Black with 32,000 miles more then three years ago and have only had to change oil and change one set of tires in three years. No problems what so ever, I now she has 82,000 on her.
Still runs like new!
The Mercedes CLK is a solid car.![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
GOOD LUCK!

I sometime forget how easy it is to keep a car in great shape here, especially because of the damn near ZERO threat of theft or vandalism. That being said - door dings in parking lots are a universal evil

That's rough to hear & sorry about your luck. There are good and bad people in every society, I've met some right ***** Canadians along the way too but in general I think most of us and our brothers to the south are pretty decent people compared to other parts of the world. Again, good and bad everywhere.

It's defiantly got its perks here but there is one little problem with living here... you have to work here too. Easily the most frustrating place on the planet to try and get anything done. At least I can come into the office early (on the rare days that I'm in Dubai) and watch the Flames games, nice ***-ripping they gave the Coilers yesterday

That might be true but its getting harder to live in Calgary now, especially after they've closed down Race City for good. Haha I was born in Edmonton but I hate the Oilers and the Eskimos. That rivalry hasn't been competitive for years lol.
