Your airbag will fit on any 209 steering wheel, wood, leather, Black Series, DTM, etc...

C63 507 AMG DA Car #19
If you must have the silver clk500.... then stroll over the kevwoods mtn of goodies thread and duplicate his ride.......... I drool over that car everytime I see it. Very well executed, and made what some claim to be a feminine car blow all thoughts of girlie-ness out of the water. all IMHO>

kevwoods clk is unbelievable! i love it!
I have definately decided to go with the CLK500 it has everything. The AMG owner admitted it had some electrical problems and stuff, so i've decided to steer away from that.
So if i import a black series steering wheel to Australia. I can put my airbag in it and use it? How do i remove my airbag from my steering wheel and put it in a new steering wheel?
Would my airbag fit on this? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mercedes-...ht_3333wt_1037
These guys have heaps of steering wheels. I don't mind buying one with paddle shifts just for show.

No brainer really, 55 all the way!!
500's are nice but you wont have one single AMG badge inside the car and to me it makes a big difference. Oh and the exhaust note stock for stock there's no comparison the 55 will put a smile on your face.

Might be late to the party, but here is my .02.
Was about to buy a 2004 CLK500, as I missed my 01 CLK55. As in the rest of the world, AMG's with clean low mileage are few and far between. Was nicely loaded, good shape, great deal. Decided to hold out for an AMG. Even after the Sales manager said he'd knock off another 1500 off the deal.
Fast forward afew months, found a 2004 CLK55 with 23k miles. Was in great shape, albeit for heated seat not working and was a strippo. Was about to pull the trigger, then thought I still really want an 05. Cancelled the deal,(dealer not happy about it) and started my search for an 05.
Fast forward. I found one, 05 in the color i wanted, low mileage and good history. So after 2 year wait and 1500 miles traveled to bring the car back home, all I can say is well worth it.
Moral of the story, if you are not in a hurry, be patient and find the right car. While the 500 is a great car, the AMG is better.
