Need part #'s for CLK 55/63 rear bumper

Someone rear ended my rear bumper, it's damaged and needs to be replaced. I currently have the 2009 550 AMG sports package, but I want to upgrade it to the CLK 55 / CLK 63 quad cut out style rear AMG bumper.

1. Can someone provide me with the part # for the CLK 55/63 rear AMG bumper?

2. Is the black plastic bumper panel cut out separate from the bumper? If so, can I get that part # too?

3. Also, anyone have the part # for the dual AMG exhaust tips? I already have the dual tips on the left side, I need the part # for the right side tips.

I'm bringing my car into the shop this weekend, please get back to me asap if you can help.

Thank you.

164 490 29 27 Left $182,40
164 490 30 27 Right $182,40

The amg tips are not sold as individual parts, but the ML63 tips are and they the same size and shape as CLK amg tips.

I hope so. lol. Would look funny if the right side tips don't match the left side ones.

Do you think I should replace the old dual left side tips because it might not match the brand new tips? One side will have dirty residue from the exhaust fumes and the other side will be brand new shiny chrome.

Do you have the amg logo on your tips? Can't remember if the 550 have that.

The tips can be polished, search for "Rashman" thread, he polished his tips with a toothbrush with great results. So you can probably get them to look brand new.

If your current tips don't have the amg logo, I'd say buy 4 new amg tips and sell the other two tips to kbahl or anybody else that want to do quad with their 550. The tips will sell within a week.

Since you want a new amg bumper with cut out for 4 tips from factory I'd say get new tips as well, for a perfect result. That's what you're after right.

My dual tips have the factory stamped AMG on them. My car has the factory installed AMG sports package. Thanks for the tip on polishing them.

I know about the amg package but I wasn't sure about the tips. Good to know.
As long as the tips doesn't have any rust you should be able to polish them out.

The 550 came with OEM AMG exhaust tips? Interesting.

Why not just cut the clk550 rear bumper on passenger side then install this over it? Would it fit?

Yes it will fit but the bumper will need to be cut on that side and he wants a cleaner look, plus since he needs a new bumper he can gets what he wants for that look.

Thanks.
I wonder if I were to do a quads and cut open my existing bumper on the right, would this black plastic piece add any noticeable value - cosmetic wise?

Never knew that. So you 550 guys got pretty much everything except the 6.3 hand built power plant. When I was in London and checking out Rash's car I was amazed that besides the engine and AMG badges on the gauge cluster & seats - it was damn near identical to a 550.

Then again, that makes sense since the 500 was the same as the 55 sans motor and badges too.

And the all important "M" on the transmission selector .

I park next to a guy at work who has a CLK63 'vert and I can confirm the tips are the same. Also - I saw a CLK55 and noticed that I have the same wheels.

Mikata, shipping with Parts.com is expensive. I ordered the extra set of dual AMG tips and the shipping was $29.04 to ship to San Francisco. The tips alone are $182.40.

~$30 is not that bad for shipping for a US resident. The tips are somewhat "heavy". But they probably charge that much for packing material and such in that shipping price.

But I pay way more shipping for my parts to be delivered to Sweden, so $30 is just beer money

Mikata, you wouldn't believe this. I ordered the tips over a week ago and its still not here. I had to write to parts.com customer service several times to inquire on my order. They finally responded today and said it was delivered to an address in NY. I was like wtf! I don't live in NY, I'm in SF, opposite coast.

I wrote back to them earlier and they mentioned that the warehouse in New Jersey put the wrong shipping label on it. They will overnight me a replacement.

Are they incompetent or what?

I just hope the tips will get here soon because my car is ready for pickup. I have the 55 rear bumper with the quad cutouts, so I need those tips to fill in the right side gap.

I'm sure it was an honest mistake.
Mistakes like that happens everywhere, happend to me a few weeks ago here in Sweden with another company. Human error.
They will send you a replacement. Just sit back and relax
