hi guys i got a 03 clk500 with the 18in amg rims this weekend i hit a pot hole at a good speed showing off for some girls leaving a party cracked a rim and bent another the tire shop guy was kind enough to give me 17in mercedes loaners they didnt work drove the care less then a foot heard grinding and took tires off my rims are now fixed and on the car but now i hear a grinding/rubbing noise from the rear driver side tire any idea whats going on? which i could give more details the cars going into the shop thursday fix what ever it is driver side tie rod end and new front rotors

But seriously, is the grinding noise present only when the tire is rotating? And is it always present when the tire is rotating? If so, it's likely not the suspension, but rather something in the brakes or the wheel bearing.

Usually caused by using lugs that are too long for the new rim to seat in correctly.
They'll tighten in too far and hit the ebrake calipers.
If its still making the noise with the old rims back on something is probably broke.

Here ya go. Reusing old lug on new rim allows it to screw too far in, hitting the rear e-brake shoe:

turns out it is the drive shaft that is going bad anybody know about how much to fix this and somewhere to get this part for a good price thankyou would appreciate a response asap

OK you have likely damaged a CV joint on the drive/side shaft - replace the wheel bearing at the same time & check the parking brake mechanism.
If it's the propshaft that is making the noise then it's likely the rear flex disc.
