questions about mods and warranty
im planing on getting the black quad projectors and try and do a aftermarket system. the question is will this void my warranty ?? thanks

It would void that section of the warranty that you mod unless it is a approved part threw MB. For example if you change your headlights the warranty on your suspension wouldn't be void but the warranty for your headlights may be voided. This is what they told me at MB when I bought my car but I am not 100% sure if this is all correct so I would double check first, just give MB a call and they will let you know.

There are laws regarding warranties and mods. Peydidy is correct - MBZ won't warranty any problems with the aftermarket headlights (of course), or even with anything that is damaged by the installation (say the aftermarket headlights have a short and it fries the front SAM - that's not covered). But like Peydidy said, if you later have a problem with something unrelated, that part of the warranty remains intact.
Years ago, in the early days of electronic ignition systems and EFI, those parts would often fail. it was because car makers had not yet figured out that they needed to make them more durable than the average pocket calculator if the circuits were going to survive the harsh environments under the hood. Anyhow, it was quite common for manufacturers to deny claims of failed ECU's if the owner had installed any aftermarket electronics - like a radio or a cell phone (yes, cell phones used to be "installed" in cars). I once had a coworker with a Honda and the dealer refused to repair it because they claimed his two-way pager was interfering with the vehicle electronics. Anyhow, dealers and manufacturers now have to prove that the aftermarket parts actually caused the failure.

Ebay has pretty good pricing on depos, I just bought a set for my coupe the 2 weeks ago and they look really good. Only thing is you have to have the dealer set it to xeon=present if you don't already have xeons

lol^ also do i need to go to dealer or can i go to a Inde to get the xeon=present?? im so happy with my car. im coming from a civic and this benz blows my world. i need 19" asap lol with a H&R drop and i will be happy. well then some audio work.
i cant seem to find a dash kit for this car. i know there is a prefacelift, is it true that i need to cut the prefacelift dash kit for it to fit? i would keep the stock navi and get a mObridge but then i still have no backup camera. UGH!!!

hay guys, so i contacted a dealer here on the site for a set of h&r springs. and he said that H&R does not make springs for my 2009 clk350? im lost non. could someone point me towards the right direction.. maybe provide a part number. i was in touch with 3WD for the springs. thanks

I herd eibach gives you a lower drop but I rather go with h&r. Heard good things about h&r also the ride quality is close to stock. I think it should be the same part number as a 06 model

i've heard quite the contrary. h&r supposedly gives a lower drop (1.4"/1.3" vs eibach's 1.2") but also sags the end (it's easily fixed with a spring pad if you don't like the look though). h&r has a harsher ride but greater performance improvements than eibach.
both companies are highly reputable; h&r has been around for a while and is one of the biggest aftermarket spring producers and eibach supplies oem parts to amg, bmw, etc.

Coilovers will do you the best if you want to go lower, springs will lower it but with coilovers you can adjust it so if you change your wheels in the future or want to go stiffer or lower in the future or vis-versa you have the option to adjust them

^ yea i was thinking that. but coilovers are a little(alot) over my budget. rite now im going through the official wheels/ tire/ post to see if i like H&r or eibach.
