Dropping in to say hi, and some new pics of the Triumph

Hi everyone,

I have been missing in action for awhile. Got tied up with all the baby stuff and my son is now 11 months, so free time is being established again for me. So I ended up selling the CLK500, but looking to see what it's next replacement will be.
But an update and some pics on the Triumph. It's been 1 year and hit 22k miles on it:

Welcome back pal! It just seems like yesterday that you posted a teaser pic of that beauty, I do believe I was the only one to correctly guess what it was

Just because that CLK is gone doesn't mean you have to be a stranger, keep in touch with us!

Thanks buddy.
Yes, it does feel like yesterday! I don't know where this whole year has gone!
Now that I have more leisure time I am catching up on the forums, although there is a lot of ground to catch up on LOL.

I remember when I was offline for personal reasons for about a month, I couldn't believe how much reading I had to do to catch up.

So now that the sun Is shining, how about treating that green beauty to a nice cut polish? The paint looks great, just needs a good correcting from the looks of it.

Yeah the original paint is in real good condition. I did a quick wax, but I have a detailer that will come out to work on some of the swirls. It's single stage paint so I'd rather have someone else do the heavy work on it.
Here is a pic someone else took of it at the cars and coffee event I attended:

The paint looks real good Dino, real good - it just needs a nice cut polish to rid it of the swirls that you can see in direct sunlight. Stunning reflection it's casting off the hood in the pic above

Have you had experience with single stage paint? I have heard mixed reviews, some say that you have to be careful since it is easier to damage paint. And others who say it is a more durable paint.

Only had one car with single stage, a '69, it was emaculate when I got it and luckily never had to correct it. I for one don't agree that single more durable, the new clear coats are like armor finishes and can be corrected and sanded like hell with plenty of micron depth left. My car is being refinished with DuPont 6600 clear, rave reviews, saw it on a P car that was done at the shop my car is at - looked like melted glass.

Correct, you have to be more careful as you don't have as much room for error.

Nice, looking forward to seeing new pics of it.
