Question 500 vs. 63 Front Bumper Differences?

Unfortunately, my CLK500 got backed into yesterday and now the front bumper needs to be replaced. Everything else seems fine. Fortunately the person who hit it is taking care of it.

Now I have the thought of putting a CLK63 AMG front bumper on it if I don't need too many extra parts.

So my question is, what is different between the bumpers? At first glance it looks like I would definitely need a new bumper and mesh inserts. But would I need new fog lights, bumper strips, clear corners, or any other little piece I'm not missing?

Also, can you replace the bracket on the headlamps with out buying a new headlamp? The top clip broke too.

Thanks. Any enlightenment is appreciated.

the front opening is wider and it has holes on the side for brake cooling.

Thanks. I know how it visually looks different. I'm talking about the technically and mechanical aspect of the differences. Like can you use the same fog light assembly?

Accctuuuuuallly, them vents is for auxiliary coolers, air enters from the front passes through the coolers and vents out the side through the, well, vents. I added my vents as functional units so i could add an additional trans and oil cooler on either side.

Proper brake ducting would be air entering through the front, ducted to the rotor, then exiting past the wheel on the door edge of the fender. The SL65 Black Series is a good example/setup for brake cooling.

Foglights and bumper strips are the same as your 2006 ones. Clear corners should match as well(we don't have those in Sweden).

You need, grille, fog grilles, clips to fasten the grilles to the bumper and maybe new bumper frame.

Could somebody check if the 2006 amg bumper frame has the same part# as CLK63 bumper frame?

Example bumper frame:

Thanks, mikata.

Can anyone help me with some product numbers for these?

1) CLK63 AMG front bumper with headlight washer holes and without parktronic (if that matters)
2) Center mesh
3) Left fog mesh
4) Right fog mesh

Thanks. Yeh I read that one. It was helpful but this one was the most help.

He posted an actual quote for a facelift with all the part numbers.

My car goes into the shop on Tuesday 7/17. Excited to see how it turns out. I'll post pics after.

Anyone know what this little part is called? Is it the "Joint Cover"? And maybe has the part number?
