Hi guys
I'm thinking of going for a 320 Cdi. I have seen one I like (2006 model) that comes with everything I want other than instead of having paddle shift it has buttons. Will it be possible to easily change this model to a paddle shift?
Thanks

depending on which buttons this particular car came with (870273-0000 & 870273-0001, 870273-0010 & 870273-0011, or the "doubles") the electrical integration will vary. In any case, the wheel itself will need to be modified to physically accept the paddles. My guess is that this model came with the "doubles" (up AND down on both sides) and in this case, you will only need to worry about physically fitting the paddles.
The AMG aluminum paddle set that is most popular for this change is A171 267 0046.

Thanks for the reply. Assuming i was lucky and they were doubles, would it then just be a case of 'unplug' the buttons and (once modified) 'plug' in the paddles?
Where should I look at purchasing the paddles from? I'm based in the uk?

for that car, the "doubles" should be plug compatible with the paddles that I referenced. Originally Posted by JB77

www.comandonline.co.uk/ lists those paddles, but the VAT does sting a little. In any case, Richard and the good folks at comandonline provide many valuable services relative to upgrading mercedes vehicles ... you would do well to get to know them.
