Also, I haven't seen anyone ask, if I can verify the balance shaft has been replaced does that mean I'm good or should I still stay away? Thank you!

WDBRF92H57F889008 has M272 #516347 - also beyond the affected range.

@SEAN: Yes, if you can verify that the balance shaft (or idler gear on the M273 V8) has been replaced, then that is a permanent fix.

WDBRF52H47A933571 has M272 engine #446023, which is in the range for potential balance shaft failure.

WDBRF40J35F722250 is a C230 Kompressor - no worries there with balance shaft issues on the M271 engines.

Your MY2003 C230 has the M112 engine - no balance shaft issues on those.

That has M272 engine #474516 - it is beyond the affected range (ended with #468993)
