Scratched front CF lip :(! PAINT FADE JOB?

Yesterday i scratched the right side of my cf lip on a curb.

I was wondering if anyone knows a body shop who can paint the CF lip OEM black from the sides going toward the middle that way the sides of the lip are black and the middle of the lip remains CF. i have seen a couple of cars have this done before but that was a while back

If anyone knows good in the long island-nyc area please let me know

Why don't you just re-clear it? I had mine sanded down and cleared with 6600, it looks better than new now.

As in re clear coat it?

If I sand mine down the top layer of carbon fiber is gone which only Leaves the fiberglass underneath exposed. Yes not true cf lip =\

Is the CF torn out where the scratches are? If not, it can be repaired with clear coat, you'll never notice it as long as your dealing with a reputable body shop.

Got a pic of your ride?

Yeah the CF actually is torn out thats why i figured the paint fade option right away i dont think the damage is repairable with a simple buff and clear coat job you know

Oh, it's a CLK... I thought it was a C coupe (as per your side sig) and you were asking because a lot of of have these lips

Yeah, sounds like the fade option is where you need to be headed. I am interested to see how it looks, I'm sure it'll be fine.

Good luck.

Yeah i recently just got this car, too lazy to make any changes to the account but smart enough to know not to post in the w209 forum if i still had the c coupe lol!

Thanks i will definetly post results

Quick question, where did you get the supercharger from? How much did it cost you to install and how much are you pushing to the wheels currently? I know youve probably posted stats and all but itd be great if i could get a quick answer. Thanks!

I live in Dubai, prices here are not comparable to the US, I got everything from Kleemann global headquarters in Denmark, putting about 400 to the wheels, haven't dyno'd it lately.
