Peydidys Black CLK500 Coupe Build Thread
Hey everyone! I am Making a build thread for my new Black CLK500 Coupe that I just purchased yesterday from MB of SF. To start off I just wanted to say I am exited to be apart of the w209 section and looking forward to get to know the rest of you guys better and learn a lot from all you. As you may know I am not new to MBworld, I have two w203s, a C230K SS Sedan and a C230K Coupe. I always wanted more power out of my cars but knew my little 4 banger engines wouldn't get me too far with power. I always admired the CLKs style and after researching it more I decided a 06 CLK500 would be perfect for me. I had a huge list of requirements and it took me around a year too find the perfect CLK500 that met all my requirements at a price that I was happy with. Last night I finally found that perfect for me CLK; Its a MB Certified Pre owned with just under 62k, NAVI, Bi-xeon, Keyless go, Sun roof, Wood Trim, 6 disk CD changer, and Premium package.
I already have a huge list of mods planned for it, I even ordered a few little goodies for it within the first 3 hours of owning the car. I will keep updating this thread as I progress with mods, events in the cars life, maintaining and any sort of issues (hopefully not to many of those).
At the end of this post I will first post pictures of the new CLK and then pictures of my other w203s, If you want to follow the build threads of my w203s here are the links to those (Links also in my signature too).

Well I actually already started modding it, Got some LED city lights, LED interior lights, and LED license plate lights (swapped them from my sedan). Tomorrow morning I have an appointment to have some audio work done. After that I will probably lay off modding for a month or two because I am going to be swamped with work and school. Once I get some more time I will probably do a quad exhaust with a CF diffuser first then Coil overs are a must, New wheels, and I am kind craving a bigger wing. Will lay off on performance mods while I am under MB warranty because I don't want to mess that up considering how much I paid for that but after the warranties up maybe work in a few performance mods.

My tints are pretty dark (15%) but I find them pretty bright.
The windows are so huge that a lot of sun comes in and brightens up the interior of the car.
At night though.... that's a different story lol

First off welcome...as for the tints I went with 5% all around and really does elevate the look of the car especially with any black / carbon fiber theme...don't expect to see so well out the side though at night but enough to see out your side view clear...

Chapter 1: Sub
Here we are only 3 days after I bought the car already starting my build. The first thing I had to do was put in a sub, I felt like the car was just lacking some bass. I took my alpine amp and Kicker comp 12 with a ported box out of my C230 sedan and had it put into the CLK. I normally try to do most of my car work myself but I really don't know to much about how fiber optics work and all that so I figured I should have someone else do it before I mess it up. I went to one of my friends shops who is the only place I would trust doing audio work on my car. Process went smoothly and the sub sounds great!
While they were installing it another MBworld member came by the shop and we all got some pics together
My car, Michael Kuzni's E63, and forum member hcoronado's w203
And my car mid installation process

Good luck with the build, great platform and strong aftermarket to go in many, many different directions. Have fun

Chapter 2: Window Tint
As for the window Tints I decided to go with 20% all around. I was a bit skeptical about it coming out too dark but now I very happy with it. At night it is some times a bit harder to see out but nothing too bad.
Heres some pictures:
