'06 CLK500: Service A: Amount of quarts of oil for oil change?

Since my brother sells for BMW now, I'm having my Service A done there for my 2006 CLK500 since it will cost much less.

I'm buying the correct oil from Mercedes but I just need to know how many quarts of oil do I need for the oil change.

Also any additional info about having Service A done would be appreciated too. Like some things that someone who didn't work for Mercedes wouldn't know. Thanks!

And Kevin - don't buy the oil from the MBZ dealer - they charge way too much. The best "everyday" price on the proper oil is usually Mobil 1 0w40 Euro Formula at WalMart for under $7/quart. Sometimes you'll find it on sale at the auto parts stores, such as O'Reilly who had it for $5.99 (sale ended Jan 29th). Also, you need the proper filter. A good one is the Mann synthetic fleece filter you can get at Autohausaz.com for a good price.

Thanks, KB. They are the CL63 & S63 style wheels. They're also 18's. You can get a nice quality replica set at OEMwheels+. I've gotten 2 sets from them so far. I recommend them.

Thanks, Louie. That helps a lot.

Thanks, Rodney. I'm getting it discounted from Mercedes because my brother used to work there and still keeps in touch with the guys in the service department. It still might be more but I'll find out how much they can get it for and I'll see the difference. Thanks for looking out.

Last time I changed the oil in the dealership and I was charged $78 CAN for the oil. This is not too bad because the local stores (Toronto) sell Mobil One 0w40 for $10 per liter.

Too bad the online stores do not ship to Canada.

So I'm getting my oil and filter from the Mercedes dealership. They're saying it's 9.5 quarts. Anyways, through an employee discount, it's costing me $6.54 per quart and $15 for the filter. Seems like a good price.

They may charge for 9.5 quarts, but they better not put that in the engine our you'll be overfilled by a quart.

Yeah, I usually start with an 8qt fill, then run it, check again, and end up adding another half a quart as needed.
