Tired of looking at a dull and lifeless dash?
I have been looking for a long time for a product that would bring back life to my dash. The well known products basically suck, don't last and put way to much gloss which causes glare.
So any way they started selling Griots stuff at advanceauto. I have found most of their stuff to be first rate although it is pricey, but with coupon codes you can get these at a pretty good discount.
When I first started to use their vinyl and rubber dressing I thought I had just wasted $10. I figured why not try more?
My dash soaked the stuff up and I kept on applying it (vigorously) until it wouldn't take any more. Let it dry and light buff and voila. It also produced some nice results on the upper door sections but that was about it.
I am not into pimping out commercial products but all I can say is that I now think it might have been among the best $10's I have put into my CLK and I suggest you give it a try.

Yes, I do. I refuse to let dealers and detail shops use acidic soaps to clean my car. They are all in the business to make money in the most efficient way possible. None of them care about your car or the longevity of your paint.

I can post up some "after" pics but without any befores....
Here is another tip I stumbled upon.
The black plastic piece on the bottom of my rear diffuser was also looking dull and plain ugly.
Griots makes a tire treatment (which I have not tried on my tires yet) which I applied to the diffuser and it looks fabulous. Of course YMMV...
I try not to let anyone else touch my car whether it be mechanics or aesthetics, except of course for the courtesy washes at the local stealership...
