Diff Service Questions...

So, my car has 122K and I am almost certain it is running the original diff fluid.

I am going to have my indy mech replace it, and he says there's an additive package that he likes to use in addition to Mobil synthetic fluid for the diff.

Wondering if offhand, anyone knows what the fluid capacity is, and has any tips/comments on what sort of fluid to use.

@Glynn, I know that you are an expert on lubricants, and would be pleased to have your opinion.

TIA,

~ Bill

Please only use Benz approved axle oil. They only like one chemistry. It takes very little. The additive system is sacrificial in all GL5+ products. They can go a long long way but a change every 100 ~ 150K miles is prudent.
