Hi Gang,
So I made a mistake... I bought a CLK 200K thinking that I could at least get some fun driving around the city in Tokyo. I know it is not a C63 or anything but is there ANY type of mods that can be done to this car? Got the K&N Air filter expecting a 27.2hp increase.... yeah, no....
Any help in the right direction would be appreciated. Does the body parts fit, say the CLK350? Say lowering springs, tower bars, ect. Looking for aftermarket spark plug wires but no luck there. Full cold air intake? Nope... Supersprint is the only exhaust I can find...

Anyone know where I can find a Cold air intake?
Thanks guys!

K&N might give you 2.72hp increase on a good day, or a 12hp loss on a bad day. Your best bet is to get a smaller pulley for the supercharger, and maybe an ECU tune, but if you can get an extra 30hp out of any of that, you'll be doing good.

How bad is it? I'd love to have a 200 kompressor CLK or CLK 230 Kompressor.
Hate that they never sold these in the US.

If you are looking for a daily driver with no real power it is great on gas. Of course if you step on it, you do get a nice little whine from the SC. K&N brought out the sound a little. But I would not recommend the car. Originally Posted by California

I guess the CLK is a lot heavier than the C230 Kompressor Coupe, which I owned and was very quick on the dime. I think they made a c230 CLK Kompressor... wonder if it was any better than the 200CLK?Originally Posted by Int-Banker

The C230 Kompressor Sedan weighed 3,240lbs with 189hp/192lb-ft and did 0-60 in 7.8
The C320 sedan weighed 3,450lbs with 215hp/229lb-ft and did 0-60 in 6.9.
The CLK320 coupe weighed 3,515lbs with 215hp/229lb-ft and did 0-60 in 7.4.
So that extra 65lbs between the C320 and CLK320 means a 0.5 second loss in 0-60 time. Assuming a similar penalty, I would put a "CLK230 Kompressor" in the low 8-second 0-60 time. While by today's standard that is slow, 10 years ago that was decent for an economical (30+mpg highway) car.

Rodney, I had the C230 Kompresor two door hatchback coupe. I believe it weighed less than all of these, plus with the rear "butt" of the car forcing more of a teardrop shape to its aerodynamics, it seemed very quick and capable with that engine. I had the 2004 pre facelift version.Originally Posted by Rudeney

When I got the CLK350, I noticed it is not as quick in a pinch, but fast on the long haul. The kompressor was perfect on the two door hatchback coupe.

The C230 sedan and coupe have exactly the same weight, but the coupe was rated at 7.5 0-60. (7.2 for the manual transmission). The CLK350 coupe was rated at 6.4 0-60, but is about 350lbs heavier than the C230.
