Gear knob moves during hard acceleration?!?

Gear knob moves during hard acceleration?!?
I'm a little nervus today because I noticed during hard acceleration my gear knob moves toward neutral almost as of it's going to go into neutral but it doesn't. Can somebody please take a load of my shoulders and give me an idea of what the problem might be? Thanks!

You have a hard link between the shifter & transmission. You need to check the state of the engine mountings. Benz considers all 3 to be engine mountings but just for clarity that means left & right front mountings & rear transmission mount. They have either deteriorated or torn.

Thanks for the response glyn! Im 99% sure its the engine mounts because after a sesrch on the forum I decide to do the brake/gas thing to check and the engine does shake. it also has a slight viberation inside the car. So Im going to order the parts and take it to my mechanic. Does anybody happen to have both of the model numbers? Also, do you think it's safe to drive until next wednesday because that's the soonest my mechanic can get me in? It's my DD so In that time I would put about 450-500 miles on it. Thanks!
