Changing Sparkplugs - Don't do this.
I turned a half hour job into a four hour job. I got one plug out and there was a tiny speck of black stuff on the little "shelf" by the hole where the plug threads in. Rather that put the plug in then blow it out, or put a length of clear vinyl hose on a vacuum and suck it out, I grabbed a can of compressed air to blow it out, thinking the force of air blowing into an enclosed space would lift it up and out. I was right. And very proud for a nanosecond until the red extender tube blew off the can, through the hole and into the combustion chamber. My luck it was a piston clear at the bottom of its travel so it went all the way in. And off to the side so I could not see it. It is thicker and stiffer than a normal red extender tube too. I started to have visions of pulling off the head. I fished some 14 gauge electrical wire in there and just kept shoving until it sort of bunched up in there, spinning it until it finally brought the tube into view, and I was able to just fit the little grabber in there - pray and pull.

I thought of that, but didn't really think it would vaporize so much as turn into little hard black bobs, one of which would no doubt stick to a valve seat.
