What a treat (thanks to Steve). We got the US Comand with TV Tuner, NAV and additional AV inputs (all from Steve) and Sirius SAT radio hooked up and running beatifully in my 2004 CLK. Took it to the dealer and the dealer was impressed with the factory look and the features (not available through dealers). The TV works great with the antennas INSIDE the rear window lining (not visible) and the NAV works great with the GPS antenna hidden under the dash and same for SAT radio. In sum, no visible wires, equipment or antennas and everything that Steve sent works perfect. Thanks Steve for the assistance in installation and troubleshooting.

By the way, the TV is controlled through the steering wheel and shows the menus and channels in the IC display. Not Bad. . .

I thought Steve was installing the European Nav into US cars rather than using the already equipped US Nav - or did you order your car without Nav at all and Steve put in a whole new unit?

what was the damage when all was said and done?

Oh, does the TV picture go off when you reach a certain speed like the European TV equipped Nav's do?

Comand
Car came without Comand or NAV. Steve sent me a US Comand with TV activated, TV tuner, cables, antennas and great instructions. I had CarToys do the install and also add Satellite radio. The setup from Steve was $2,250. And the install was $550. I took it to the dealership and the GM and service people loved it and also were impresed with the seamless installation and looks. This morning the dealer activated the IC display so everything also shows through the instrument display.

Richard received a US spec comand (new) with the TV button activated and TV while in motion enabled...that was included in the package price (NAV TV in NY charges 450USD for that activation / enabling service).

That someone who is watching is supposed to be the passenger...not the driver!
