Yeah! Kids. One 10 inch W7 will produce so much tight accurate bass in a car that no sane person could want more.

This is a wonderful sub with it's matching amp.

I had a 4runner loaded with MB Quarts 8 Mids, 12 Tweeters, 2 8 inch subs on a 600w and a 15 in sub on 1200 rms with zero gauge all around and i soldered my speaker leads had the panels sprayed with insulation and the pack panes by the sub stuff with dyna and fluff solid sound super clean even at full tilt or low volumes. My Mercedes stock has WAY less bass but makes up for in dexterity. I listen to everything but when it comes to death metal, dubstep, and classical. The speakers dont sound over whelmed like in my friends cars and this is even with the volume up. Great setup only thing i would add is a 10 sub to give the low ends some umph.

I can attest to the delivery of this sub. I went to school with a guy that had 3 of these. The pressure levels and the quality of sounds was ridiculous.

I use a 12" JL W6v2 that looks just like that! I went with the W6v2 instead of the W7 because the W6v2 can support small enclosers.

I went with aftermarket and I'm 1000 times happier with it than the OEM Bose; here is my thread about it https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...o-install.html. Best part is when it comes time to upgrade the radio, I can do it quickly since all the wiring is done. Some people are hesitant of changing their stereo because they plan on selling their W209 soon or do not plan on having the W209 for too long. I will never sell this car so I can feel free to change it to EXACTLY to my liking.

Yep! ~ I like the clean tight characteristics of the 10" 7W in a 35 litre or smaller sealed enclosure. Personal taste in bass reproduction.

Swapped out my radio on day 3 of owning the car. Couldn't handle the tape deck anymore lol.

Threw in a Kenwood DNX7190 with all the fixin's and a Rockford P3 12"

Hey Brian! I threw out the spare tire and installed a 1.25 cu. ft. (35.4 l) sealed enclosure in it's place. Excellent bass reproduction without sacrificing trunk utility.

I've been really busy with work, that's why I haven't been participating here as much. Hows everything with you?

I swapped the head unit to update the look of the interior and also to get some modern features like nav and blue tooth. Lost the CD and AMP but keep everything else and ended up getting better sound and the interior now looks as modern as the car.

Update tuned my system sounds great now took a while but all worth it.

On a side note has any1's trunk open on its own while playing loud music? Mine did the second I drove away, guess my bass was hitting that hard so I decided to DC the trunk release button (green button) located in the trunk and hasn't happened since, sucks for the person that's gonna be in the trunk :P

I upgraded all the speakers in both doors yesterday (convertable) to Alpines, incl tweeters. Sounds much better, but still considering adding an Alpine amp...will wait it out and decide.

I've had an aftermarket system in every car. And each one I've reused my sound stream mc140, d200, d100 amps that I bought in like 1990. Currently running them with focal speakers all around and a JL 10 installed in the stock woofer location. System is always clean with those amps. The only stock system I've ever been ok with was the Harmon Kardon system in my old x5. To each their own of course but once you've heard a really good system tough to settle.
