Those look like the same ones I bought off ebay; for more than they currently sell for.

Don't know what you're paying but this is on ebay....

Yep, those are the ones I want to buy but the seller has different models for those tips but they are exactly the same price, everything. Do you have any pictures of your tips off the car so I could make sure that they are the ones?

Hey guys, just an update. I'm really close to purchasing the parts I know I've said this a few months ago, but this time I'm really close to getting the parts because it's almost my birthday, so a little treat to myself! Anyways, what I'm gonna do is just get the AMG tips and do the proper bumper cutting and have the shop just add another pipe from the resonator to the passenger side of the exhaust. So essentially, it's a muffler delete with another pipe on the passenger side. I'm see if I like that, and if not, i'll go with some of the suggestions on this thread. I'll keep you guys posted!!

You should make sure you and/or the shop give some thought to the length and routing of the pipes. If the pipes are too uneven in length and/or unbalanced with the number of bends (restrictions), your exhaust discharge and note may be uneven. This may not matter to you...... just input.

Thanks, I will let my shop know when I get the job done. Thanks for the input!

Another update everyone: Instead of doing just a dual setup with the resonator in place I decided to just go ahead and order the Magnaflow X-pipe (PN# 10791). I'm gonna go to a shop on Monday to show it to them and see what they say about it. I'll let you guys know when I order the tips! Here's a picture of the X-pipe by the way!

Update again! Just got my AMG Tips in the mail today! I got them from EuroStyle. They look really nice, just hope the quality is on par as well! So that completes the parts that I have to buy. I went to a shop yesterday and the quoted me anywhere from $350-$500, and they said they can do it as well. I'll start a new thread when I have everything installed. BTW here is a pic of the tips:

FYI... There may be better shields. You can check some of the local parts stores like PEP Boys, AutoZone, AdvanceAuto, etc.

There was an exhaust mod post within the past 3-4 months with a pic that showed some shielding also.

The main thing is to reflect the exhaust pipe heat away from the fuel tank - both sides of the center channel (from about a foot from it's rear end point to the end) where the drive shaft sits and the exposed end of the fuel tank toward the rear.
