2003 CLK 320
gas mileage
I'm getting 14 mpg city and 27 highway in a clk 320. I was expecting much higher than this but I do live in L.A. so my question is what are you guys getting in your cars and could there be anything wrong with my car? I don't think I drive it that aggressively.
Thanks,
Calvin

2003 CLK 320
my average is 19 and I drive highway about 1/2 the miles. Considering it's a 320 seems it should be higher, not lower than a 500. Hmmmmm

CLK 240
I've got the (much) smaller 240, but I've been getting 30 mpg, with about 75% highway driving.
However, I did get it over 40 mpg last week when running desperately short of fuel late at night....

i should clarify that my 21.4 mpg is attributed from 80% highway driving. And this data point was taken from the instrument cluster under the menu page for "After Reset". i imagine this number will change with time, hopefully better. it is getting better, 19.1 mpg, when i took delivery of my 500.

what's the average mpg margin between 320 and 500? it would be nice to know. but it's probably a moot point since owners of MB autos are not known to be fuel economy conscious.

my CLK320 gas mileage sucks
im getting 10mpg in stop and go trafic most of the time
i get around 13 mpg once in a while
the best i get driving in highway is 23 mpg using cruise control
the after reset shows 17 mpg most of the time
is this normal?

hey vodc, sounds like my car. Actually, I get between 12-14 in la traffic with average 14mph. At night with no cars I found maybe 18mpg. And highway, the 27 only if I reset while on the highway and just measure my gas mileage while going ~80. I find the gas mileage appaling but I'm thinking the weight of my wheels and the stickiness of the tires might contribute some. I read on the clk55 forum, many people seem to posting better mileage than us which is why I brought it up. Just doesn't make sense.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Last night I drove up to Uconn and the computer said I averaged 20mpg after start. I was somewhat easy on the throttle. No street racing or anything like that. It was all back roads with stop signs.
How can a CLK55 get better milage than a CLK320.
I want my gas guzler tax back!!!!
