Will the weight of vertinI dynasties slow down my car
Deciding on putting these 19. inch Vertinis.on. I've been told the rims without tires are around 28 lbs each. does anyone know what the weight of a stock 18 inch amg wheel is on an 07clk 550

My OEM 18" twin spoke AMG wheels are off the car and w/o tires and TPMS. Just weighed them at 26.5/25.5 front/rear. So, you can say they are 26 lbs. My Mandrus wheels are 29 lbs. When I go to 19s (probably 18K miles) I will be looking for 27-28 lbs or less.

Increase the weight = decrease acceleration, increase braking distance and generally a deterioration in handling. I personally would try and find a equal or lighter wheel but then it depends how you drive your car.

They arrived yesterday, mounted today! Pics will be up very soon! i was gonna wait till i threw in some 30 mm h and r spacers on the rears, but hey i guess well do a before and after. Ill post the pics in the afternoon !
