CLK W209 Centre console upgrade
Hi Guys,
I have bought a facelift headunit for my car clk 2004 model.
But im having a problem to get it fit to my car as they are different connectors on the back of the headunit.
can you please help me with this to get the facelift headunit fit to my car.
I have attached some pictures on here to show you the different.
Also attached a picture of the connector which i found on ebay but not sure if this works.

You might wanna do a search. There is significantly more work involved than that. So, you're trying to do a facelift upgrade basically. What did your car come with initially?

NO LONGER ACTIVE
I'm really not sure about those rear connectors. I am pretty sure the main two 8-pin connectors are the same on both units, but the wiring harness connection looks different. I know in the USA, the connector did not change for the facelift (they all look just like the one on the back of the COMAND unit in your second photo), but I have no knowledge of UK models - maybe there was a difference there?

Yeah all done . Everthing works. Please visit uk forum I have uploaded all the pictures. Still steering control button dont work with the new facelift audio 20. But I can live with that as the centre console look lot newer compare to my old pre-facrlift look.

To take away from this post one of the harder pieces to get or find is the Dash/Radio Plastic Frame. Took me a couple try's at the dealership before they got me the correct piece. You remove the old frame before you can even mount the new radio, buttons and A/C controls.

I've done center console upgrade recently on my w209 04my clk 320 Europe and I have UCP problem. Parktronic off button is working one way, meaning when you press it you've got red led on and parktronics switched off, pressing again-no response, parktronics doesn't turn back on. ESP button on this facelifted UCP works normally. Any comment on how to fix it would be helpful.

Unfortunately can't advice on blind cause my car is cabrio and I don't have it, but I think it should be fixed the way you thinking
