Fuel Filter Questions

I checked my records and my fuel filter was replaced more than 3 years ago, some 50k miles before. How often should a w209 fuel filter be changed (2004 CLK320)? Will there be early signs from a clogged fuel filter?

Different opinions on the net, every year, every 2 years, every 60k mile, etc. Some Toyota/Lexus people even said they have "lifetime" fuel filters.

According to a Canadian online store, both Mahle and Bosch are OEM. Who makes MB fuel filters?

Your car has the external filter with fuel pressure regulator included. Mahle Knecht is the OE filter supplier. Change interval 60K miles.

Thanks for the clarifications.

In this case, I will wait for another 10-20k miles to replace the fuel filter then.

Also, I will get the Mahle one in the hope that it is identical to the MB filter.
