Whats wrong with my car
Dealer and regular shop I go to cant figure it out....so I come to you guys...the experts.
Bought a CLK 350 Cab about 6 months ago.....love the car....but suspension was gone, so I went with what I read most about in the forums here...
19" Rims (8.5 front / 9.5 rear)
Eibach Springs
Bilstein HD Shocks
Car rides good now, but I still have this awful squeak whenever I'm turning left. Sometimes its so loud, I can even hear it when im on the freeway, curving left, with the windows closed.
Dealership said I need new sway links and tie rod ends, so I got them replaced. Still making the noise. Said I need new rotors, so I got new rotors and pads......still making the noise.
Took my car to the shop, so they can take a look at it again, turns out my rear right tire has so much negative camber, the insides were already showing steel. Got new tires, and the mechanic tried adjusting a few things.
STILL MAKING THE NOISE.

FWIW first thing I would do is put car on a rack, turn the steering wheel as corning, jounce the suspension and see if you can isolate the noise.
I have seen before CLK front plastic inner fender liners come unattached and contact the tire making a loud noise. Make sure the liners and undercarriage fairings are secure.

If the car is stationary & you crank the steering from lock to lock can you reproduce the noise? report.
If not
Check the front wheel bearings for runout.

Jack up each front wheel & hold wheel at 12 o'clock & 6 o'clock positions & shake. Feel for play. If you find play you need to inspect & see whether the bearings need adjustment or replacement by inspection. Slight play in a bearing can allow the rotor to deflect in the caliper when turning & touch the pads in a manner that causes squeal.

Yes you can if the bearing is not damaged.
