I just ordered these for my 2003 CLK500. Once I get them and install I will let you know how I make out.

I've also ordered P21W x2 for the brake lights and a P21/4W and R5W (complete bulb list for anyone wondering), quantities listed per side.

I think I'll also be ordering some Amber front LED turn signals from AZN Optics and hope for the best, as well as some 194 LED for the front DRL.

Hi there, any update on the bulbs? I just got my CLK yesterday and I really need brighter reverse lights. If these work, I will buy them right away.

Thanks!

Just for knowledge sharing, we have revamped our 1156 bayonet reverse LED design from the old cross shaped to bright metal encased plasma units (the one on the far left).

Unfortunately those eBay linked bulbs did not work. My car posted error codes and they would blink every 3 seconds or so. Oddly, it also did the same in the reverse polarity (which LEDs typically don't do). I'm not sure why it worked for the other member, maybe some canbus systems have slightly different tolerances.

Hi AZN,

I'm not sure if you remember but I used to be in the w204 forums back before AZNoptics was a thing and the 194 led worked great. I now have a w209 2003 clk500. I suggested your bulbs before but some people said they tried with no luck.

I'm basically looking for white reverse and yellow led for fronts. Do you know if they've been revamped to work. I recall on the w204 you had issues still with hyper flash on the fronts. I'd be willing to order and try them out for w209 members. Seems nobody has been able to find bulbs that work seamlessly yet for our cars. Is the canbus error checking different for w209 than w204?

We have introduced new front signals that have integrated IC flash regulators that should work. Although I will say to my knowledge, I don't know of any customers who purchased for w209 (customers just buy the product without leaving year/make/model info through our site), but we do know we've verified function with w203 and w211 of similar years. If you were local socal, we could run a test, but otherwise, if they do not work, you have a full money back guarantee protecting you.

I just got these from 4tech-era:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/161725766094

He confirmed it would work in my 2006 CLk350 coupe without having to add any resisters, and without any side effects like hyper flashing etc...

Once I receive these I will see if they work without glitch, and update this thread.

Fingers crossed!

The LED'S in my fogs required external resisting. For whatever reasons the w209 is known for electrical sensitivities and I have yet to see a plug & play solution. Depo projectors are next but the openings need to be punched out to fit the fat posts.

Okay I've purchased all the bulbs recommended in this thread except for AZN Optic's maybe it's high time I tried his....

I think I spent a good 100$+ on all the different bulb sets

I wish someone who has a W209 CLK would simply post a URL with LED backup light bulbs that work? (And by "work" I mean turns on without flashing, I do NOT care about any error codes)

lol, time to give up man.

I searched everywhere and tried a ton. I think our cars are just finicky with this stuff, which is really annoying considering my 01' Ranger works with ANY and all LEDS and in fact has all LEDS in the truck, not an issue for years..

The Merc however seems to be way too picky.

I currently run superbrightleds in the front turn signal, front parking lights and front side lights. No issues and they are all CAN-BUS error free and have been working fine for over a year or two.

I have LED modules for the rear license plate that one was flaky but after replacing via ebay it's fine again and super bright. I couldn't get LEDS to work in the rear housing at all. They would error and then blink. correct me if I am wrong I though even if they work, the error message will eventually make them blink because the car is trying to cut power to the source...

I did try AZN optics and they are nice leds but also didn't work. Wasn't a problem and I sent them back and they refunded my money but if you do get them, post up and let us know. I think it's just our cars are annoyingly picky when it comes to this. Which is super lame.
