W209 Engine Detailing Tips?

Cleaned under the hood of a '99 Honda that had been sitting outside for a few years. For it I just sprayed everything and then used the soap and rinse cycles at the self car wash.
For both I made sure to plug the air intake/s so not to get any water into them. I avoided holding the wand or water hose too close to wiring and electrical boxes. Used a couple towels to dry things off before starting the engine. Then I did the detailing after the drive home. Vacuumed the liner. Used a vinyl and rubber cleaner for the hard plastics. Used more citrus degreaser for spot cleaning valve covers and headers. Used a damp towel/rag to clean the wires and metal lines. Used a cleaner wax on the painted surfaces.
Then I had a beer......

I've since been told that diluted brake fluid is a good cleaner for oily surfaces, but I have not tried this; and hope I don't ever have to.

I got in there as much as I could without having to shove my hand into tight areas.
What yall think? Pretty clean?
