UPDATE ON STALLING PROBLEMS

So the stalling problems continued after the 4th MAF and 2 weeks ago the car went back to the dealer. Another thing I finally noticed was that when the car was stalling, it felt like there was a lot of engine resistance while driving - like it took more pedal force to move the tachometer and that the engine was revving pretty high before it would shift. Weird.
I asked the dealer to check all the sensors including the crank sensor, and all wiring harnesses etc. Their response was if there's no code for these things, there's no reason to believe they've failed. That didn't make me feel to good. I read that the crank sensor could go bad without triggering a code - is this true?
In any case, after 2 weeks with my car the dealer wants to replace my ME control unit for 2k. This worries me because I don't think they really KNOW what is the issue and that after putting down 2k down the problem is still there.
Is it unreasonable for me to insist they check or double check all wiring and sensors, code or not? WTF am I gonna do lol.
My wife is like eff it, let's get a new car but I'm attached to this one..still.
Also i dont think its unreasonable to ask them to double check, as long as your paying for their time.

Its worth checking, you can disconnect the exhaust or check the temp of the pipes and cats if you have the laser thermometer . its worth checking
