Convertible won't finish closing

I just had a similar problem with my 2009 CLK 350 which I have owned since it was new. I was getting the message that the trunk partition was not closed. I don't think I have ever moved the partition, as I only use the car around town and never carry any luggage in it ( 16,000 miles on the car). After checking the partition out, I found a small micro switch on the port side (drivers side) that SHOULD be activated when the partition is fully closed. The partition was closed, but for some reason it was not activating the switch. Solution? A small piece of duct tape wrapped around the switch to keep it activated. I would not recommend this if you frequently move the partition, but since I had never moved it, no harm no foul. Good luck

Finally it's done - the top works perfectly after the pump has been rebuilt by Top Hydraulics. Klaus has been very responsive and helpful with deciding on piston-vs-pump and Top Hydraulics has rebuilt it very quickly.
To me it seems pointless to replace a pump with a used one (like the mechanics did for the previous owner) - not only the replacement pump can fail shortly after the replacement as seen here, but one is also risking getting a pump which may be contaminated with incorrect fluid. Rebuilding carries similar or slightly higher price tag (actually $400 cheaper in this case than $1000 which the "reputable" shop charged for the failed used one), and gives a peace of mind.

E class cabrolet
E 220 convertible roof
E class 220 2011. Hi my roof works internitent when failing it's the back window that wont go up to let the back panel go down everything else seems to work ok please any help would be great asap

Check the usual: first if there are any leaks and some cylinder is leaking and unable to lift, next if micro switches work correctly, pump after that. Best to use Mercedes DAS system to troubleshoot and read the codes, check switches etc, otherwise a lot of guesses and possibly difficult troubleshooting.
If you are in a rust area, also check if all the mechanicals are well lubricated and move smoothly without being rusted out or jamming in some way

Soft top closing misalignment issue.
How many open/close cycles have you run since working on the hydraulics? It can take 10-20 cycles to get all the air out of the lines. In case you have not seen me post this before:

1. when roof closing, I can see the roof raised with misalignment which the right side raise slower and weak.
2. soft top won’t able to lock in fully but need a push on top to lock it in place.
3. Above happened after I added new hydraulic oil in the tank.
4. the open and close sequence won’t operate after I tried open and close the roof for 1-2 times, after that it totally won’t operate until I stop the engine, let it rest for few minutes, then it start to operate again with the same issue of item 1-2.

Make sure that you are only adding either appropriate Pentosin or Febi hydraulic oil, as described in many posts.
You have low hydraulic pressure symptoms - first you need to find all the leaking cylinders and rebuild them. If that still does not fix the problem, you need to rebuild the pump. Check Top Hydraulics website for instructions and rebuilding.

I bought this...was told by merc car parts distributor is the same thing. Anyway, how to rebuild the hydraulic cylinder as you mentioned?? I couldn’t find any in CLK 209 video on ur YouTube page.
BTW...location is Malaysia..is extreme hot and rain anytime here.

The manufacturer name of the fluid is different, but the bottle and labeling look similar, so maybe it's the same.
Different Mercedes cars have different top cylinders, some are easier to rebuild, some more difficult. CLK typically is not rebuilt by DYI.
