Thank you Eurocharged! Eurocharged ECU Tune Review

Fellow MBWorld members,

I'd like to thank Jerry and the whole crew at Eurocharged for helping me tune my CLK500! I emailed Eurocharged about their tune for my car and they said they could give me 33% off for MBWorld promotion they had. I got the cable in the mail a few days ago and installed the EuroFlash software on my laptop (my Mac didn't work, it works better on Windows). I had a glitch in my laptop which made the tune install in over an hour. So, I didn't feel any gains on my tune. I emailed Jerry and he said he'd remote into my laptop to fix all the problems I had and made me a new tune for my liking. The tune installed in 5 minutes and I have been driving with a smile on my face since! Thank you Eurocharged for great customer service and great products! Anybody looking for a tune for your CLK, you can't go wrong with Eurocharged. The car pulls harder in every RPM but is most noticeable in the 2K-4K RPM range. At redline there is no more hesitation from the shifts to when the power goes down, it just pulls and pulls. Great mod for the car.

Awesome, can't wait to tune my car. My tune has been purchased and sitting there for years.

Yeah, it is very noticeable in the midrange and it seems as if it holds gears longer (it may be that I'm driving it really hard right now for the tune to adapt) but it's a nice touch.

I know my Kleemann tune changes the shift points. And removes the top speed limiter

You will definitely feel the gains on your 55, especially the torque.

Based on your review I want to move ahead with this tune. Is there anything customizable you can ask for in the tune? I assume you have to purchase the V2 cable in addition to the cost of the tune build. And, thanks for the review!

Yeah, you tell them what mods you have and what octane you want to use and they'll customize your tune for you. Call Eurocharged and say you want the tune and ask for MBWorld pricing and they might give you a discount. All they do is send you the cable and you have to install the software and it's pretty straightforward. I had problems with my Mac, so use Windows.

Oh the C63 want is still very real Fatz, but yeah, I'm enjoying this car a little more now. My MPG is supposedly supposed to get better but since the tune I've been averaging 13 MPG. I wonder why...

My 500 is your 550's lunch, there's no way you can beat me man haha

Sorry, I didn't dyno it. But the gains should be around 12-15 wheel HP and around the same for wheel torque

Eurocharged advertises +37 at the crank. You should see/feel 65-70% of that at the wheels. So that's 24-26 hp at the wheels, which is around a 12% increase; which, unless you drive like you're my age, you should definitely feel.

I noticed that for the 550, they advertise minimal gains (

Did Eurocharged say that you should get 12-15 at the wheels?

No they didn't tell me, but I was being reasonable and not trying to think I gained 30 wheel HP lol. Yeah they say +37 crank but I think that it's a little too much but who knows. I would have liked to dyno but I just didn't have the time.

OE Tuning told me with their tune that I would gain around 12-15.

10whp sounds reasonable and doable...I'd really like to see a dyno of their advertised 25whp though
