Question CLK500 vs. E500

Which one would you pick. Were you looking for the E and decided to go with CLK? Do you think E500 is sporty? I think it needs AMG Package.

both great

both great cars,, if you want easy access to the rear and a bit more room,, go with the E, but if you want a more sporty looking car and dont have to many free loading friends that make you drive when you go party,, then take the CLK,, its kinda of a ***** having to let people sit in the rear of the CLK all the time,, Once in a while its good,, but if your the Sucker of your group then get the E, As far as power,, I believe they are bout the same, Good luck.

whatever you do,, do not get that gay looking light blue color,,, I would go for Silver,, or a white,, those colors in my opinion rock.

hope that helps,\

thats a good point,,,if you don't want your firends to always make you drive, having a two-door is a good excuse to leave your car @ home

LOL!!! I do feel like a sucker! But my car is hot and I want to drive. E500 is starting to look good if I put 20"s on! Can they fit on a CLK?

i have 19's on my CLK, I think 19's is the max, but im not 100% on that one. I think if you go with 20s on a CLK you gonna have to do some adjusting somewhere,, but my 19s fit perfect,, I have 245 35 zr 19 Falkens on my ride all the way around and it fit perfect,

On an E class you will be alright with 20s,

I'm sorry you don't like the "light blue" colour..also known here as "ice blue".
However, I can tell you that your comment about "gay looking" colour is very unappropiate and may be offensive. I'm not gay, and I do like the colour, and I did choose it for my car.
As far as I know, you are free about what you like or dislike, but your sexual likes or dislikes are absolutely uninteresting for all of us who are interested in MB.

no taste!!!

Then you have no taste ma man,, or you must be color blind,, or i might be right,, you might be gay. Its all good in the hood brotha,, no need to get all rattle up bout it. They are started to accept gays in marriage slowly,, so you can come out of your closet.

I'll try to make it easy for you, according to the level of your words:
1.- If I had to judge my taste according to yours, I'd rather kill myself.
2.- Speaking of "blind"..can you read?..I just told you I am not, but I wouldn't be ashamed to say I am IF I chose this sexual option.
3.- Speaking of "closet"..are you afraid to leave yours and be tempted to become a gay yourself?...take it easy boy, you can live with that..talk to a doctor or something.
4.- I'm neither interested in argueing with you nor wasting my time in such stuff. I was just interested to remark that whatever yout taste (or absence of it) is..it has nothing to do with the joint of colours and being offensive to people whatever their sexual option is.
5.- Free advise; grow up.
6.- I'm done with this stuff. Don't challenge your brain cells trying to answer, because I'm just not interested.
7.- Thank you for the laugh.

i dont think so!

I dont think so DUDE!!! C320 is more of a pusssy car.. I would agree if you told me that the clk cab is for a pusssyy, yes but the hard top CLK is for a man with a big long DIKK! Speacially Moded ones,,

And personally i would go with the CLK if i didnt have a wife or kids,, To many E classes around town.. " Not knocking the E"

CLK all the way !!!

Just dont go for the Light blue color,, "gay looking"

The CLK is a really pretty car. I guess what I'm asking is which car do you think will attract more girls.

try this

best thing to do holla is go to your local dealer, test drive them both, as you are on a test drive take it to a nice busy blvd. role your windows down,, put some bumping music,, and try to pick up,,Look at who is looking at your car, how many heads you get turned,, And if you get some digits while on a test drive then there is your Slam dunk......

All right dude, dont get gay on us here

C class is far from pu$$y. (Hatchback maybe) One thing that attracted me to the C320 is the nice muscular rear and sides. Front is a bit more feminine, but thats with every benz.

compared to the CLK, which is more curvy and softer looking. Not that its a bad thing. It is pretty elegent.

And the E class, more muscular, more presence imo.

As for the dude wanting to attract chicks. If you want to do that go with the CLK. Every girl i know drools over that car. most of the drivers of the 209 here are women. I see some guys in some modded ones. E class is very nice but chicks dont dig 4 doors too much. (They do like mine though )

Depending on your age, if your young get the two door. I love the E class to death but would choose the CLK most likely if I am young.(20 yrs old) I would also consider a C55 AMG. Even though the E class styling suits me more, I would buy one a later time in my life.

btw all pics posted are as bone stock as possible.

This is when a 2 Seater comes in handy.

Even in my 4 door, I rarely sit that many people in my car. I just cant stand it. I will give people rides but I refuse the cramp 4,5 people in my car. It just looks ghetto and gay. I guess if you are going to a party its OK ONCE in a while. Although I prefer not to be the designated driver. I used to do this alot when I first got my car, but it got old quickly.

I know when you have mercedes-benz and everyone around you wants a piece of the pie and constantly wants to be driven around in the new ride. I Can understand that. But after a while it becomes nusiance. These days I Dont sit too many people in the rear. Unless I go to a family dinner or something, the rear is reserved for the Gf and I!

btw IF I had a coupe forget it. I would not even consider sitting anyone back there. I Dont know annoying that can be as I dont have a coupe.

Also dont buy your car because of how many friends you have or what girls would consider attractive, or what any of us prefer here for that matter. Buy what YOU like. You are spending the $$$. Get exactly what you want. not what others might think looks goodd. 60k is not cheap. Everyone has a different preferences.

2004 CLK 320 Coupe
Re: Re: both great

Good point Noble C320 has made there.

I can see that this problem has come down to "heart vs. brain" now. On one hand, you have friends that keep your backseats busy; on the other hand, you like the look of the CLK much better. You have even acquired of which car be more attractive to females.

We both know that buying a Mercedes is as much for prestige as for quality. Many cars will offer equal performance and/or comfort for far less money. So essentially the decision of you buying a Mercedes is not a rational one; therefore, why not follow your heart all the way through?

Of course, test drive both cars before you make up your mind. Looks can be very deceptive. You may not be able to tell what your heart really wants afterall just from the looks.

LOL!! Noble C320 love your smilies! Thanks everyone for your help. I know it's my decision but it is so hard!!! I will set up a test drive soon when the weather is a little better. I am new to this forum and I love it. I'm on here everyday and you guys (and gals) know your sh*t. That is why I asked the question because I respect your opinions. Still confused as ever.

You guys seen this? I like this ALOT! Great job MB!

Hollaback, Another car to look at.

This is definitely my next car. A more sportier E Class with a coupe like appearance. Priced a little more than the E Class.

CLS500. Coming fall 2004
