Passenger lost all power

Hi guys. I have another issue that just came up yesterday. I lost power to the passenger door of my 2006 CLK350. I have no idea what fuses are what. These vehicles do not come with a fuse layout like most car manufactured around the world. The door will not unlock with the remote, the sideview mirror will not move, the controls for the seat will not move the seat. Any ideas? Also, is there a layout showing what each fuse is, its location and what it controls?

Getting very frustrated with this vehicle. Ready to return it.

Others with more detailed knowledge of the electrics will chime in, but I don't think that a single fuse controls all of that in only one door. Does the window work? Does it work from the button on the passenger door and driver's door or either one? There is a thing called a door controller - a module in the door - but I am uncertain what all it controls. You might search that.

The fuse diagram should be in the small fusebox near the steering wheel. You have to open the car door and pull off the little plastic panel to see it like this:
Its that folded up paper near the arrow.

Nothing on the door works. I also forgot to mention, the turn signal lights on the passenger door side-view mirror. stopped working as well. The buttons on the passenger door or the driver door will not operate anything on the passenger door.

Thanks for the reply.

You have fuses/circuit breakers in three locations - in that box, in a box under your hood, and in a box on the left side of your trunk behind a panel.

And although I've never heard anybody raise the issue one on these cars, on some other cars most everything in the door can stop working at once because a key wire breaks from constant flexing at the point by the hinges where the wires get flexed every time you open and close the door.

Wow. That's crazy. Well, the door just started working again. I don't know why, but I imagine it will happen again. Pretty soon, I will put the car into storage for the winter, and wait until the spring to drive as we sometimes get a lo of snow here in Jersey. The rear wheel drive is bad in the winter time.

I have not checked the wiring.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
You say "passenger side", but we don't know your location (please update your forum profile!) so we assume you are USA or left-hand drive, so the right door? If so, that's fuse #22 on the cabin panel. Here's are fuse diagram in case yours is missing:

But if it works intermittently, then it's not a fuse. Your door controller may be going bad, or you may have a wiring harness problem in the door.

there has to be a loose wire to the door itself, i would pull the door panel and inspect the wires and connections

Agree. if EVERYTHING in the door is not working, that practically rules out a fuse or combination of fuses. It sounds suspiciously like either an earthing problem, or a loose connection / plug.

As Rodney said, your passenger side controller module controls all those functions that you mentioned it seems like either a loose connection to that or the module itself needs to be replaced.

Rudeney, gixxerboy, bobtuba, DanielFD, I am in New Jersey. Thanks. I apologize for taking so long to respond, I have been very busy. I stopped working for again and then started working. Not sure where the door controller os located but i will find it. I checked the wiring the best i could on the door and found no chaffed wires.

the door module is located right next to the airbag on the door (from the inside obviously), you'll have to take apart the door, its pretty simple, you can find lots of info about that just get a couple of interior plastic pins for the door as you will most definitely break a few.

Not clear if you have a coupe or convert, but it is a convert the airbag is in the seat so don't look for it in the door.
