Nice let me know how it goes, I'll most likely won't be able to do it until a few months from now maybe during the summer, but I'll most probably send the tb out to get bored and have it ready for the installation as well as maybe the intake manifold, and hopefully do a dyno first. What should the labor cost of taking out and installing a tb run on average? If I have a kleemann tune would I need to retune after I bored the tb to 85mm?
I see you are saving the best for last (the gears and headers) lol looking forward to reading about your feedback on those mods.

labor shouldnt be over $100 to remove the throttle body, its simple to do.
i have a kleemann tune also, it wont need to be reprogrammed,
I'm saving the others well because i have to , headers arent here yet and just the timing of the downtime for the gears i have to wait, its going to take a week or so for the programming

short answer is no, im not really understanding what you are describing, but if its doing something its not supposed to tuning isn't going to fix what ever is causing it,

Hopefully this makes it a little more understandable.
Sometimes when I am in 1st gear or 2nd gear and trying to punch it (but not always) the car will begin to jerk as if to attempt to accelerate forward but it keeps pulling itself back from moving forward, but the moment I shift up a gear the jerking stops and the car will accelerate. I believe it happens in the low to mid rpm range, but not 100% sure. I am wondering what this would be from and how to correct it. My guess is something with the tranny, but not sure.
It just might well be that I am a terrible driver and shouldn't be driving in manual mode lol

Headers
Hi looking for a set of headers...I see you were in production ...but wondering if you have some for the w209 clk 500 2006 ....pm or shoot me and email thanks.
i have kleemann tune, secondary cat delete with x pipe and vibrant resonators no mufflers, i did k&n filters and got rid of the stock tubes from the airbox and 3 inch pipe and flex tube and enlarged to opening to radiator support wit 4 inch scoops there.
i'm currently manufacturing shorty headers. The test pair will be done end of month and if all good then into production and out in the spring.
plus the other stuff in my signature

Btw since you have the e55 amg air intake box, do you know if the gray parts (the top portion) of the e55 amg air intake box fits onto the clk550 air intake box (the bottom portion)?

The filter size for the e55 from 2004-2006 is the same size as the clk550, I'm going off of K&N's specs for replacements. The bolt pattern seems to be close minus one or two being off point. I like the bottom portion of the air box on our car seems like the tube area has a little bit more volume.
Where did you order the adapter from? If there's a link to the website please post it. Thank you.

and yes the e55 and our car use the same size filter, but as you stated i never checked if the bolt pattern is the same for the covers to swap

Perfect thank you, if you don't mind me asking do you know what he charges? At the moment I'm looking at combining two silicone elbows to create the y pipe, but I'm just wondering if it would be a good idea or not, and if there is a chance of it breaking apart (into pieces) and entering into the engine.
I will definitely let you know in regards to getting his name, if i cannot find any other substitute.

To be honest I got the idea from a quick read on e55 post where the member had done a CAI setup and used two silicone elbows cut in half and combined together by sealant. I still need to do more research to figure out if it is possible to actually combine them together and insure they won't separate.

ya the member did a pretty clean job. Would smaller diameter tubbing collecting from the air filter box to the y pipe increase the velocity of the air going into the TB? Also, do you know if it would be beneficial to use larger tubes then stock or just use the stock size tubes?

IMO on an airbox/ intake tubes bigger is better. I'm actually think of scratching an airbox all together. I'm looking for someone / turbo shop in my area to do dual 3 inch pipe from the Y connector to 4 inch in line filters than 3 inch out to the radiator support.

I know the e55's benefited from that setup it should be beneficial because you have more air flowing into the engine, plus now you have the larger TB which will definitely benefit from the extra air coming in. Btw even though I'm following your TB thread I would love a preview of your experience and if there was a difference overall going to a 86mm TB, thats if you have taken it out for a drive lol.

Lol can't wait to hear some good news afterwards…e55 members have seen 50hp (I think whp not sure) going up by 8mm I know our cars aren't supercharged but as long as there is some gains it's worth it.
