CLK55 or CLK63 brakes onto their CLK350's

Back when the C32 came out, a bunch of us got a group buy and bought the C32 Brembo brakes and the front and rear sway bars. My C230K Coupe still drives like it is on rails, but the wifey drive it and she loves the way it handles. She has no idea why though.

So has anyone retrofitted the CLK 500 brakes or the CLK55 or CLK63 brakes and sway bars onto their CLK350's?

Maybe someone here has put big bad brakes on their CLK55 or CLK63 and wants to sell their original brakes?

Does the 08 CLK 350 Sport have larger brake rotors than the 06 CLK 350?

I am still learning on this CLK. It is basically between the C and the CLS classes, I know Mercedes watched the forums when a whole bunch of us put the C32 brakes on our c class back 2003-04. They then put larger brakes on the C class to get better braking, used MB parts instead of Brembo.

depends, there are 2 different front brakes on the clk350 you can have 11.8 inch rotors or 12.9. Then the v8 cars have larger brakes 13.6 then the amg's are bigger still

Thank you. What would you recommend since I will be keeping the stock rear brakes. I don't intend to hop up the engine, but I do like better handling. And if the brakes can stop me 20 feet sooner it might prevent an accident.

Pretty sure the V8 brakes will be a good upgrade on a lighter car. Should be easier to get too.

the amg brakes are hard to find and will be allot more money,

switching to these with leaving back stock would be ok, i wouldnt do the huge 6 piston front with out changing the rears

i have a set of front calipers off my 09 clk550 if your interested. i have the rotors too but didnt know if you would want to do new pads and rotors, but i have the whole assembly from my swap, its the brembo front 4 piston calipers and factory cross drilled rotors and my old pads which still had life left on them and the brake lines.

I need to see if I can still get the Mercedes Benz club of America discount from Caliber Motors, looks like the CLK 350 has exactly the same stock brakes as my 2003 C230K coupe. Put the AMG Brembo brakes on it 8/2003 for only $599 parts complete, and they are perfect. I may even have a spare set of C32 rotors somewhere in my garage, just have to find them.

Evosport was a great place back then, looks like they went belly up.
