What should I set my camber to?

Adjustable arms are going in next week for the rear. Just wondering what the best camber setting would be for even tire wear and performance? 1.0 degree? 1.5? Stock AMG wheels.

-1 but handling will be better at -1.5 camber.

Really your toe settings what wear out the tire most.

On my 911. I have -1.5 rear 1/16 total toe in and I get little to no inner wear.

I had KMAC rear bushings installed last year. My camber settings are working fine with even tire wear. I listed my settings at;

Sorry about that....
Pulled out my data sheets for the KMAC install and alignments.

Front camber (left/right) -.8/-.7 to -.7/-.5

Rear camber -1.9/-1.9 to -.9/-.9

Rear toe .17/-.21 to .23/.26

As I said before, since these changes and the KMACs, thread wear is even, traction is better, got 40% more miles on the last set of tires even though the changes were made with about 3-4 K miles already on the rears.

Yeap, that -.21 rear toe will definitely wear out your tires

The cambers are a good Street use set up, not too aggressive.

Thanks, maybe I will try 1 degree, I can always get it adjusted again with the next set of tires/alignment. I know I need an LSD which will be my best way to increase traction, it's fairly hopeless with the stock open diff.

I got the camber arms installed and asked them to do an alignment. I didn't specify anything in particular. I thought I would just see what normal is supposed to be. Looks like -1.5 degrees rear camber is the target.

What should I set my camber to?-alignment-20specs_zps4et388p0.jpg

I agree with gixxerboy on setting it to how you generally drive the car. At -.9 I can still handle any of the hairpins I've encountered so far and I don't track the car. I do on occasion get tested in a relatively straight line.

Straight line traction, and even and longer tire wear, are priorities for me.

I am impressed with these settings and the new tires. I pulled out of a turn in the wet without traction control ruining the party like it would with the old setup. Not wide open throttle of course but fairly quick.
