Merc CLK 220 cdi
18" ALLOYS

Greetings,need some advice.I have a late model 2005 CLK 220cdi Avantgarde with lowered suspension(40mm)Is it possible to put 18" alloys on?Have 17" on at the moment.Thanks.

Thanks for reply,tried some non Merc 18" with disastrous results.Had to get shorter wheel nuts.Wheels to close to suspension,bad handling, wheels getting very hot over short distances.Had to take them off and sell them on.Maybe genuine Merc alloys would fit better?Just need someone to put me right on trye sizes ETC.

Your wheels that would not work probably had the wrong offset for the car. Even if the wheels you plan to use are MB, you need to check the offset and width of the wheels. Check the forum info on wheel and tire sizing.

Google is your friend. Look up the stock set up of an 05+ clk, what offset means, and a tire size calculator.
