CLK 320 convertable 2002 hazard lights keep blinking after doors are locked
HI everyone
few nights ago after I parked my car and locked the doors the front and back hazard lights started blinking without the alarm sounding .( need to mention before this happen when ever I pushed the panic button the alarm didn't go on ) . Not to drain the battery someone from Mercedes came and took the fuse number 2 out from the fuse box in the trunk . now I have to open the doors manually but the trunk door doesnt open with manual key .
1) I like to know if anyone knows what the problem could be that the hazard lights were blinking while the alarm was silent ?
2)If it is the Alarm issue does my car has a alarm battery that can be changed or the whole alarm has to be changed ?
3- Where the alarm battery is located ?
4- could it just be a bad fuse or changing the setting on something ?
please help . thank you

I suspect your ATA siren module has died. It's not uncommon. It has a built-in backup battery that eventually spills its guts on the siren's circuitry and kills it. Try removing fuse #8 (rear SAM, fuse panel in the trunk). If that stops the blinking, that's your issue. You don't want to leave fuse 8 out as you'll lose FM reception and remote locking from the SmartKey fob as it also powers the antenna amp module. The ATA siren is located behind the front passenger wheel, under the fender shroud. Jus tunplug it until you can get a replacment.

A guy from road side mercedes that I know came by and called the mercedes and they told him 2 . so he unplugged the 2 . and as I said now the trunk does not open manually but the doors does and the blinking stopped . I have no idea what is going on .
