Dual side exhaust

Has anyone explored or modified their exhaust so there can be dual side tail pipes? Incredibly good looking I say!
Need advice and/or experiences?

I bet it won't be long before the newer CLK's have the dual exhaust. Just look at the C55. Now it seems the CLK is the only AMG that doesn't have dual exhaust. Looks like I'll have to trade up when it comes out.

But I think it would be difficult for an old 209 to retrofit a quad exhaust on a newer 209 (if this ever going to happen). It is because the spare tire well on the old 209 will be blocking the way. AMG would not build a quad exhaust system that uses extension pipe like Carlsson.

What about that AMG safety-car exhaust? BTW are the different engines limited to certain exhausts? I keep finding exhausts fo 320s and 500's nothing for 240's or 200's..

Do you mean dual side as in two pipes from the left side of the rear, or dual sides from both left and right side, as in quads??? If your talking about quads, I have them on my car. Looks really mean, and sounds really aggressive. The set-up is exactly like carlsson exhaust, but its custom fabricated by Rbtech.

You know what really ticks me off...my mom's 2003 E320 has dual exhaust. Of course her tail pipes aren't sticking out, but you can definitely see the two mufflers and two exhausts.

Man that bites...my mom has dual exhaust and I don't!!

Don't gripe fellas. I dont even have folding mirrors! I thought that would come standard, but they want to charge me an extra $800 bucks for them. Yeah right!
By the way, for the record, I do not have COmmand as stated in my signature. I thought I had it, but was referring to an integrated phone system which I have. It wasn't until a local dealer here asked me why I didn't put in Command. He offered US$7000 to drop it in for me. Silly me thought I already had it. Heh heh. Now I'm thinking about getting it and talking to Steve. He's very good about giving all the info I need. Cliffybabe and Kaiju have it and raving about it.

So did you have to pull the spare tire assembly or was it custom fabricated to somehow work around the space constraints? Do you have any pics of the underside of the car that you can share?

The setup is very similar to the carlsson quad. I still have my spare tire well as i really do need it for my Sound system coming up. I havent really taken any pictures under my car. The piping does wrap around the spare tire well. If i get a chance ill get a jack and jack my car so i can take some pictures.

It looks exactly like this...

Oh damn

Could you send me a picture of it thafonz@tijd.com
Do you know if it is possible on a CLK 240 Cabrio with AMG pack? I would love to install quads, but I can't find them. (I live in Belgium)

Thanks in advance!
