Hello!
I have a problem with my CLK200K MY2005. CEL light came on. OBD shows P1070 and P0171 faults. Car runs very nice, idle is steady. What could be the possible problem? How to check oil in wire harness, if thats the problem?
Car has 137000 miles on it, camshaft sprockets and chain are replaced 20000miles ago.

Also are there "pigtails" fitted and in your opinion oily camshaft magnets? I monitored short term fuel trim. Idle is ~ -3 to 3% Under high acceleration maximum is about 16%. Are those normal? Also what are normal maf readings g/s and Under what conditions?

Also there is oil in cam magnet connectors. Whats the cheapest way to fix it temporarily,I dont have much money right now, so I would like to fix it for atleast couple months. I would to all work by myself.

You could try cleaning it thoroughly with a good electrical contact spray cleaner, but it may need a new wiring harness. Also, fix the seals or it will keep leaking. Oh, and check the ECU - oil can wick through the wiring harness to it.

Bought 2 new cam magnets, 2 pigtails and pre cat o2 sensor. Replaced all of it, cleaned all plugs where I found oil and It works like a charm. Thank you for your help. Hope this post will help somebody someday.

p0170 and cel came back on after 250km of riding. Before fix cel came on after about every 20km. Is it possible it need fuel adaptions reset done? Is it possible to do it without Star?
