CLK 350 2008 "Droopy Eye Syndrome"

I have a right hand side headlight problem.

The right low beam headlight sometimes gets "Droopy eye syndrome". Occasionally it just doesn't lift up when the car starts, sometimes for days, but mostly if you keep switching the engine off and on it comes right. I took it in and they said i needed a new headlight at over $2,500 excluding fitting!

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen? And if they had any cheaper ideas/ways of fixing it? Many thanks, Mike
